Discussion:

·        Mr. Bow stated the city attorney has recommended the misdemeanor penalty remain in effect for the building code enforcement. The civil infraction ordinance will cover zoning ordinance infractions. (The zoning administrator will be able to write citations for zoning enforcement.)  If the citations go unpaid the violator could be taken to court and further penalties applied.  A warrant could be issued for the person to be “picked up” until the amount due is paid.

·        Mr. Gault asked if this method would be easier to enforce.  Mr. Bow said yes.
