A Regular Meeting of the Flushing City Council was called to order on Tuesday, May 28, 2002 at 7:30 p.m. by Mayor Pro-Tem Michael Szukhent, followed by the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag and invocation.

Genesee County Community Development Block Grant Program – Motion by Girard, seconded by Gault, that the City opt out of the Genesee County Community Development Block Grant program and participate in the State of Michigan’s Small Cities program.

BID/AWARD PURCHASES:

 

2002 Street Paving Project – Motion by Bade, seconded by Gault, to accept Lois Kay Contracting’s bid for the 2002 Street Paving Project in the amount of $606,225.55.  The streets to be included in the project are:

Shawnesee       -           entire length

Springview       -           entire length

Melody Ct.       -           entire length

Rodney            -           entire length

Hut West          -           entire length

Iola Ct.             -           entire length

Orchard Ct.      -           entire length
