A Regular Meeting of the Flushing City Council was called to order on Monday, July 22, 2002 at 7:30 p.m. by Mayor Janice L. Gensel, followed by the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag and invocation.

Approval of Agenda – Motion by Johnson, seconded by Bade, to approve the July 22, 2002 agenda.

            Abstain:            Girard

            Nay:     None

            Motion Carried.

 

Excuse City Manager – Motion by Gault, seconded by Szukhent, to excuse the City Manager from the July 22, 2002 meeting.

            Nay:     None

            Motion Carried.

 

MEETING OPEN TO THE PUBLIC:

 

Elva Cook, 315 Sunnyside, addressed City Council.

 

CONSENT AGENDA – Motion by Gault, seconded by Szukhent, to approve items 2 through 5 of the consent agenda:  City Council Minutes (June 24, 2002 Regular Meeting), City Council Minutes (June 24, 2002 Closed Session), City Council Minutes (July 10, 2002 Special Meeting), and July 22, 2002 Council Bills List.

Dump Truck Bodies – Motion by Szukhent, seconded by Girard, to award the bid for two (2) dump truck bodies to Monroe Truck Equipment, Flint, Michigan, in an amount not to exceed $49,942.00.
