A Regular Meeting of the Flushing City Council was called to order on Monday, August 26, 2002 at 7:30 p.m. by Mayor Janice L. Gensel, followed by the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag and invocation.

Approval of Agenda – Motion by Szukhent, seconded by Gault, to remove item F-2, Zoning Ordinance, from the agenda.

            Nay:     None

            Motion Carried.

 

Approval of Agenda – Motion by Szukhent, seconded by Gault, to approve the August 26, 2002 agenda as amended.

COMMUNICATIONS:

 

Flushing Area Chamber of Commerce – Request to Hold the 8^th Annual Fall Harvest Festival – Motion by Szukhent, seconded by Gault, to permit the Flushing Area Chamber of Commerce to hold the 8^th Annual Fall Harvest Festival in the downtown business district on Saturday, September 28, 2002.

 

            Yea:     Bade, Gault, Girard, Johnson, Salem, Szukhent, Gensel

            Nay:     None

            Motion Carried.

 

ORDINANCES:

 

Nuisance (Noxious Weeds and Refuse) Ordinance Amendment – Motion by Szukhent, seconded by Bade, to move to second reading and adoption an amendment to Ordinance No. 96 – Nuisance (Noxious Weeds and Refuse).

            Nay:     None

            Motion Carried.
