A Regular Meeting of the Flushing City Council was called to order on Monday, June 28, 2004, at 7:30 p.m. by Mayor Janice L. Gensel, followed by the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag and invocation.

COMMUNICATIONS:
Michigan Municipal League (MML) Convention – The MML 106th Annual Convention will be held at the Grand Hotel, Mackinac Island, September 29th through October 2nd, 2004. Council members interested in attending were requested to contact the City Manager.
REPORTS:
Fiscal Year 2004 Budget Adjustments – Motion by Szukhent, seconded by Bade, to approve the fiscal year 2004 budget adjustments as presented.

Capital Improvement Program – Motion by Salem, seconded by Johnson, to postpone a decision on the Capital Improvement Program.

Flushing Area Senior Citizens’ Center – Interlocal Agreement – Motion by Johnson, seconded by Szukhent, to approve the Interlocal Public Agency Agreement in support of the Flushing Area Senior Citizens Inc., subject to the approvals of the Charter Township of Flushing and the Charter Township of Clayton.

BID/AWARD
PURCHASES:
2004 Street Paving Project – Motion by Johnson, seconded by Peck, to accept Lois Kay Contracting’s bid for the 2004 Street Paving Project in the amount of $416,037.05 including the closing of Lynn Street as shown in the drawing as submitted by Rowe, Inc.
