A Special Meeting of the Flushing City Council was called to order on Monday, April 11, 2005, at 7:00 p.m. by Mayor Janice L. Gensel, followed by the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag and invocation.

MEETING OPEN TO THE PUBLIC:

Elva Cook, 1459 Flushing Road, addressed City Council.

CLOSED SESSION:

Pending Litigation – Motion by Szukhent, seconded by Gault, that pursuant to the Open Meetings Act Compiled Laws 15.268(e) to go into closed session to consult with the attorney regarding trial and settlement strategy in connection with the case Gauthier, et al, versus Flushing, as an open meeting would have a detrimental financial effect on the City’s litigation or settlement position.
