A Regular Meeting of the Flushing City Council was called to order on Monday, August 8, 2005 at 7:30 p.m. by Mayor Janice L. Gensel, followed by the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag and invocation.

State of Michigan Liquor Control Commission – Prosser Incorporated – A Local Approval Notice was received from the State of Michigan, Liquor Control Commission, regarding a request from Kanera, LLC to transfer ownership of 2005 Class C licensed business located at 125 E. Main, Flushing, Michigan 48433, Genesee County, from Prosser Incorporated. Council action is necessary when the police background check is completed.

Michigan Municipal League – Motion by Szukhent, seconded by Gault, to approve the designation of Mayor Gensel as voting delegate and Councilperson Salem as alternate at the annual Michigan Municipal League meeting on September 21, 2005.

Genesee County 9-1-1 Consortium – Motion by Bade, seconded by Salem, to approve the 800 MHz equipment and installation costs as identified in the attached schedules, with authorization to eliminate or reconfigure the equipment purchase, the total of which will not exceed forty-two thousand, three hundred sixty-eight dollars ($42,368.91) and ninety-one cents.
