A Regular Meeting of the Flushing City Council was called to order on Monday, November 14, 2005 at 7:30 p.m. by Mayor Janice L. Gensel, followed by the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag and invocation.

OATHS OF OFFICE The City Clerk/Treasurer administered the oath of office to Janice Gensel, Mayor, and Councilpersons George G. Kozan, Richard L. Bade, Teresa K. Salem and Paul Gentine.
Election of Mayor Pro-Tem Motion by Salem, seconded by Bade, to elect Michael T. Szukhent as Mayor Pro-Tem.

Motion Carried.
Approval of Agenda Motion by Kozan, seconded by Gault, to approve the November 14, 2005 agenda.

Council Rules The Council Rules also determine the order in which appointments will be made to certain committees. Committees were selected by Council members on a rotation basis set forth in the rules. The committee appointments will be as follows:
Board of Review (one vacancy) - Richard Bade
Zoning Board of Appeals (two vacancies) - Janice Gensel
Paul Gentine
Parks, Recreation, Beautification (two vacancies) - Teresa Salem

SALT (two vacancies) - John Gault

APPOINTMENTS:
City Attorney Motion by Bade, seconded by Gault, to reappoint the law firm of Henneke, McKone, Fraim and Dawes as the City Attorney, and to approve the following fees:
General Matters, Ordinance preparation, District Court,
and Consultations - $120.00 per hour
Circuit Court, Tax Tribunal, Boundary Commission
and Appeals, etc. - $130.00 per hour
With a monthly retainer of $500.00 for attendance at two (2) Council meetings per month.
