Old Business:
MOTION by
Olson, supported by Johnson, to recommend to City Council to accept Golfside
Drive as a public street and noting the deviations listed in the attached
report to City Council, dated 7/26/05.
Yea: 6
Nay: 0
Motion carried.
Discussion:
·
Mr. Bow discussed the four items noted on his
attached memo to the Planning Commission dated 7/25/05 and recommended
forwarding the attached report dated 7/26/05 to City Council.
·
Mr. Olson stated he feels this road is close
enough in compliance that it would make sense to accept it as a public
street. He stated his concern again
regarding the Planning Commission recommending approvals for future
developments with private streets. As this request shows, the residents of the
private street at some point will want to become a public street and receive
the benefits of being included in the public system.
Old
Business: OUTLOTS
MOTION by Gault, supported by Johnson, to set a public
hearing to change the verbiage to section
153.1002 of the Zoning Ordinance to add the words or privately owned outlots.
Yea: 5
Nay: 0
Abstain: 1
Motion carried.
Discussion:
·
Mr. Bow advised the Commission that the
Ordinance verbiage change would allow the two public outlots to be built on
providing all other lot requirements were in compliance.
·
Mr. Johnson stated he believes this change
should only include private outlots and not city owned outlots.
