A Regular Meeting of the Flushing Planning Commission was called to order by Chairperson   Robert Matsko on  at 7:30 P.M. at City Hall.

Absent:           Dan Borgerding

                        John Olson

 

Motion to excuse:

 

            MOTION by Matsko, supported by Gault, to excuse Mr. Borgerding and Mr. Olson

                        from the April 2, 2007 meeting.

           

            Yea: 7

            Nay: 0

            Motion carried.

Old Business:             PUBLIC HEARING – ZONING ORDINANCE

                                                            AMENDMENT 153.1004(B)

                                                            NONCONFORMING STRUCTURES

 

 

            MOTION by Keane, supported by Bueche, to recommend to City Council to take

action on approval of this revision ( 153.1004(B) to allow homes to be rebuilt in the residential zoning district even if more than 60% of the home has been destroyed.

            Nay: 0

            Motion carried.

Discussion:

  • The Commission agreed to recommend approval to City Council to approve the verbiage to amend the Zoning Ordinance to allow rebuilding of non-conforming single- family structures in the R-1 zoning.

  • The Commission discussed the letter and no action was taken.
