A Regular Meeting of the Flushing City Council was called to order on Monday, January 28, 2008 at 7:30 p.m. by Mayor Janice L. Gensel, followed by the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag and invocation.

Approval of Agenda - Motion by Szukhent, seconded by Gault, to approve the January 28, 2008 agenda.

PRESENTATION:

 

D/F/Lt. Mitch Krugielki, Section Commander, Flint Area Narcotics Group, Michigan State Police, presented the city with a check for $2,865.20 for forfeiture funds.

-                     intersection of Coutant and McKinley

-                     intersection of Main and Cherry

-                     east end of the downtown bridge

2008 Street Paving Program – Motion by Bade, seconded by Kozan, to approve the Design and Construction Engineering proposal for the 2008 Street Paving Program, as submitted by Rowe Incorporated, in the amount of $26,552.00.

ORDINANCES:

 

Ordinance Amendments – Motion by Szukhent, seconded by Gault, to move to second reading and adoption of amendments to Flushing City Ordinances, Chapters 132, 133, and 134, which will provide new definitions and code provisions consistent with state law.
