A Special Meeting of the Flushing City Council was called to order on Wednesday, August 6, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. by Mayor Janice L. Gensel, followed by the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag.

Drinking Water Revolving Fund (DWRF) Project – Resolution to Award a Tentative Construction Contract - In order to maintain compliance with the filing requirements for the Drinking Water Revolving Fund (DWRF) Financing Schedule, a Resolution is required to be approved and included with Part III of the application due. This portion of the application is being assembled for an August 8, 2008 submittal.
The Resolution tentatively awards the contract for the construction of the proposed water system improvements project to DiPonio Contracting, Inc., and is contingent upon the successful financial arrangements being completed with the Drinking Water Revolving Fund (DWRF).
Financing should be complete on September 29, 2008 and, thereafter, a formal grant of award will be requested of City Council prior to a Notice to Proceed being issued. The tentative construction award establishes the name of the construction firm to be used in the project, along with an estimate of the project cost, as bid.
