A Regular Meeting of the Flushing City Council was called to order on Monday, December 8, 2008 at 7:30 p.m. by Mayor Janice L. Gensel, followed by the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag and invocation.

Approval of Agenda - Motion by Szukhent, seconded by Bade, to approve the December 8, 2008 agenda, with the addition of F1, Office/Residential Joint Uses Ordinance, and the deletion of B1, Riverbend Striders Running Club – 2009 Running Series.

PRESENTATIONS:
2007-2008 Audit Report – The City Manager presented the 2007-2008 Audit Report. General Fund balance increased by One Hundred Twenty-Eight Thousand ($128,000) Dollars and the Sewer Fund continues to operate at a deficit.

REPORTS:
Tax Reverted Property Disposition – Motion by Szukhent, seconded by Kozan, to approve a resolution rejecting the transfer to the City of Flushing of property located at 518 Chamberlain Street, which was not previously sold by the foreclosing governmental unit (Genesee County).

Genesee County Mutual Police Assistance Agreement – Motion by Gault, seconded by Salem, to approve the Genesee County Mutual Police Assistance Agreement, subject to adoption by all other entities that are party to this agreement.

BID/AWARD PURCHASES:
Whole Effluent Toxicity Testing – Motion by Bade, seconded by Gault, to award the bid to provide Whole Effluent Toxicity Testing services for the Wastewater Treatment Plant to Paragon Laboratories, Inc., Livonia, Michigan, for an amount not to exceed Ten Thousand Five Hundred and Seventy-Two ($10,572.00) Dollars.

ORDINANCES:
Office/Residential Joint Uses – Motion by Szukhent, seconded by Bade, to approve a first reading of a zoning amendment, which would allow for mixed residential/office uses in the OS-1 District.
