Section 5.11 The Public Works Director shall be the administrative head of the Department of Public Works and shall be accountable and responsible to the City Manager for the performance of his/her duties. The Director shall perform all duties as prescribed by law, the charter, the City Manager and/or ordinances or resolutions of the Council.

Normal operating hours begin at 7:30 a.m. and end at 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.

The City of Flushing participates in the Genesee County Community Water Quality Consortium.

The Genesee County Community Water Quality Consortium is a collection of municipalities, school districts, county organizations, and non-profits charged with overseeing the “Our Water” public education activities. These committed people work to bring awareness, to educate, and to promote stewardship on ways to prevent stormwater pollution and keep our water clean.
